FOR ARCHERS

Pishkun A.C. has developed a new Dynamic & Parametric-based par system for 3D Archery Courses.

The system is used to calculate the score that an average bowhunter division archer would be expected to make under ordinary weather conditions taking into consideration twelve common parameters. Additionally, the Par System can be applied to multiple divisions based on the Targets/Lanes being set proportionally.

ARCHER-SPECIFIC BENEFITS – The Dynamic Scorecard System offers Archers the following benefits over traditional Archery Scorecards:

  • Allows archers to see the effect of the site-specific environment.
    • Replaces traditional scorecards that do not take into consideration or document the variety of shots presented on a course.
    • Celebrates the individuality of each lane/target for a scorecard that is better aligned with the 3D ethos.
  • Offers an increased ability to learn from a course.
    • In real time and/or upon completion of a circuit.
    • Ability to verify common obstacles for an individual archer.
  • Offers greater insight into a Course.
    • Expands on Narrative-based Course Descriptions.
    • Archers are granted the ability to review scores with greater context.
    • Offers better comparison of scores:
      • Based on course difficulty (when participating in multi-course location-specific events)
      • Based on event difficulty (when participating in multi-event tournaments).
DYNAMIC FEEDBACK

Each Parameter has been given a weighted value that counts towards creating a par specific to each Target/Lane.

QUALITATIVE DATA

Each Target/Lane is given a par value based on Twelve Parameters broken into two primary categories (the foundation of our new Parametric Approach):
1. Environmental Constraints
2. Mental Management

ANALYTICAL APPROACH

The resultant par system allows for the development of:
1. Target/Lane Ranking (handicap)
2. Course Rating

PAR IS NOT INTENDED TO BE PREDICTIVE OF AN ACTUAL SCORE.

*NOTE – The Pishkun A.C. 3D Archery Course PAR system is not intended to be predictive of a specific individual’s actual score. The parametric-based system is used to calculate the score an average HUNTER DIVISION archer would be expected to achieve under ordinary weather conditions while taking into consideration twelve common parameters associated with both environmental constraints and mental management.
